I strive to teach my students how to create a healthy balance for your life.
A life where you forgive yourself, be thankful for yourself and cheer yourself on.
A life where you're not perfect and don’t claim to be.

Hi, I'm Shannon!
I am a Certified Yoga Teacher and Certified Food Handler. I am a runner, food lover, healer, a moment by moment individual and a Mama to one beautiful strong girl. I help bring Yoga to lives in a therapeutic way and share ways to grief in a more self loving way.
A little more about me...
My Yoga journey began in 2012, at the same time I was grieving the death of my younger brother. As a Yoga student I learned how important it was to heal my heart and my mind. This is when I became a very active runner and spent hours, days and months learning how to fuel my body instead of just feeding my body. Very quickly my passion for mind, body and soul health drove me to achieve my Yoga Teacher Certificate (YTT 250/hr) with Ananda Hot Yoga Studios in 2014.
Over the years my passion for food grew and I successfully graduated a Culinary Course where I became a certified Food Handler partnered in multiple other certificates to fulfil my goals of partnering Yoga & Food. Where I found myself creating some of the best salad jars that landed me on Rogers tv Georgina. On this weekly segment I taught viewers how to make their own salad jars all while working a Full Time job, continuing to teach my Yoga and remain a student of Yoga as well.
Fast forward a couple years, my passion for Yoga & Salad Jars continued when I partnered with Hutchings Farm. We began a Yoga & Salad Jar program at the farm. The attendees practiced Yoga by the sheep and students would use fresh farm food to create their own salad jars while I guided them.
I continued to teach at studios all over York region, as well as spaces I would rent and for a small time had my own home studio, also travelled to homes to do small parties of yoga and salad jar creations.
In 2021, while the world is different, my hopes are that this year we can get together virtually in groups or individually to meditate, practice yoga, speak grieving, and create salad jars, laugh, cry or whatever it is you need to help your mind work on that moment by moment goal.
Shannon allows us to just do us. Whether you are just laying there the whole class or fully participating. You are refreshing and remind us of our self worth! I've been to many classes and yours is by far my favourite. I am always excited to get back to the mat, I always leave feeling great. Thank you for that.
You have the most calming voice in the world. I love how relaxed I feel after, you completely set up an amazing and comfortable environment with the music, dark room, empowering words etc.
I love that you allow us to work at our own level of what we can do that day. You remind us it's ok if we can't do what we did last time. Your voice is so welcoming and calming and you're always helpful with a pose. You are amazing and have taught me to love yoga.
